William Lloyd Garrison papers from the Walter Merrill research collection. 1950-1991.

Walter Merrill collected photocopies of letters by Garrison from numerous repositories while doing research for "No Union With Slaveholders: the Letters of William Lloyd Garrison". Notes related to single letters beyond the scope of the book, written from 1831-1879, are also included. The letters usually include a typed transcript, a photocopy of the original letter, and research notes.
